Born May 25, 2017, Amanda's family members had always wanted a snuggly, low energy little lap dog. They figured this little Shih Tzu was the perfect addition to their family. By the time Joey was 6 months old, it became very clear he was not a low energy dog as predicted, and seemed to be mixed with a small poodle. They reached out to Amanda to help do what was best for Joey as they knew he was meant to participate in some sort of dog sport.

 

Joey's had numerous behavioral issues that are typical with small breeds and high energy dogs that don't have a job to do. Amanda quickly spotted his agility potential and began training with him while simultaneously helping him overcome his behavioral issues. They've made huge strides together and while Joey's agility future looks bright, they'll be taking the slow and steady approach in getting there.

 

Joey's a small dog with a huge personality and has an endless source of energy. He wears his emotions on his sleeve for all to see and sports the biggest smile while doing anything with Amanda.
